Two (2) curious oil paintings depicting pastoral British landscapes. One (1) dated 1896; the other dated illegibly. Signed "A.C.S.B." and labeled on verso as a "Deason-Barrow." Both labeled on verso. Unattributed. Both: 20 x 12" (overall).
Provenance: the verso label describes an auction at White & Co, LTD, Portsmouth, England. Then acquired by a private southern Rhode Island collection.
Soiling to the surface obscuring some details, and evidence of toned varnish. Both works removed from damaged frame.
