This image, produced for an editorial on "Homosexual Couples: Gays + Lesbians" is a photograph of the October 14, 1979, National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights. The notation on the verso provides further context, reading, "OUT IN THE OPEN: Not only just in America, in Washington D.C. where this photograph was taken, or at organised events or demonstrations, homosexual couples are increasingly open about their feelings in public."
