Historically significant photo album featuring Thierry Mugler and company. Contains images and ephemera relating to gay nightlife in New York City circa 1980s. 

A very large collection of five hundred and eight one (581) Cibachrome photographs and three (3) pieces of ephemera.

Notes: 

A particularly invaluable photo album from the personal collection of Mugler and his partner, Keith Dunhill. Contained within are images of a variety of significant NYC figures, including Thierry Mugler himself, Keith Dunhill (owner of King and the Ritz nightclubs), Joey Arias (Mugler muse and renowned drag performer), John Sex (famous American cabaret artist), Klaus Nomi (German-American singer and experimental performer) and many more.

This album also documents a number of important gay and queer scenes and events throughout New York City in the 1980s. Ephemera featured in the album includes invitations to events at the Ritz (NYC). Including the infamous Circus party, featuring a live elephant and the club King, which help to date the album. Lastly, there are a number of important works of art documented throughout the album, including a now lost, or yet to be identified Keith Haring mural and several assemblage installations at the Ritz. 

More research will need to be done to fully identify the many performers, personalities and venues depicted. 

Some wear from use along photo album cover, along with paper staining. Nothing adverse to note on photo conditions.
