Oil on paper and board. Circa Mid Century. Appears to be the work of an accomplished American or Latin American Modern artist. Framed. 28 3/4 x 22 1/4 inches (overall). Provenance: Connecticut Estate. See previous lot for another work believed to be by the same artist.
Under magnification, some flaking observed. The painting appears to be on paper back or adhered to board or it could be artist board. The framer (circa 1960's) glued in the frame backing so it could not be removed for further examination. The frame is in poor condition. There is a tear, not readily apparent, running along the edge, about three inches, in the upper right side far edge where the frame meets the work. Please note, this is not a full condition report.
