Titled, dated, and signed in ink on the verso, "Amagansett 2005; JACK PIERSON"; Inscribed in ink on the verso, "With all my love for 25th March 2007, R." 

Known for his intimate male portraiture, Pierson is considered a part of the Boston School of photographers, a group which includes such artists as Nan Goldin, Mark Morrisroe, and Philip-Lorca diCorcia, amongst many others. This photograph comes from the collection of Sir Elton John, and was a part of a series of landmark sales distributing the musician's collection of art and fashion items from his famous estate on Peachtree Road (for which his 27th studio album is named after).
