Notes:

The American photographer Annie Leibovitz is perhaps best known for her portraits of celebrities, with her photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono (taken five hours before Lennon's death) being one of the most well known portrait photographs of the 1980s. Her portraits showcase an intimate understanding of her subjects, along with an exceptional eye for color and composition. Leibovitz's work has been published in magazines such as Vanity Fair, Vogue and Time, and she is designated as a Library of Congress Living Legend.
