Our first AFTER DARK auction of the year features fine art from masters of the male form such as Rex (a rare original pen and ink), The Hun (several important original artworks created for publication), MATT (Charles Kerbs) (original illustrations), Bruce of Los Angeles (Steve Reeves photographs hand-signed by Bruce of LA), Robert R. "Adam and Steve and the Apple." 2020. Diorama, mixed media. Artist signature, title, and date on the back of the piece. 8 x 8 x 5".

The diorama strongly calls to mind "Adam and Eve in Eden" by Lucas Cranach The Elder (1472-1553) and his Adam and Eve from the "Wittenberg Reliquaries". The artist further utilizes the Renaissance artistic symbolic device of the Ostentatio genitalium (in the display of the erection), which in Renaissance semiotics is to denote theological significance.
