Turkmen. Southern Turkmenistan or Northern Afganistan. Possibly, Saryk temirjin (note the octagonal termijin guls). Estate condition 153 x 104 1/2 inches.
Extensive wear and soiling. Estate condition. Four inch hole as shown. Smaller one inch hole. Pile worn. Flexible and floppy though heavily soiled and sun faded. A very old and compelling tribal carpet that will require cleaning and restoration.
