"Kabuki Actors as Konoha no Minezo confronting the Tengu." Pair of woodblock prints, tipped to paper. 1873. Actors noted as Ichikawa Sadanji and Sawamura Sojuro at the Shintomi-za Theatre. Artist signature on the left of both prints. Censor dating seal on the left print. 14 3/4 x 9 3/4" (per panel). 18 x 24 1/2" (overall).
Provenance: property of a Massachusetts collector.
Condition
Left print has a minor fold on the bottom-right corner. Some staining throughout tipped paper.
