Aquired by an heir to the estate of Chateau-sur-Mer at the Park-Benet, New York, September 1969, auction of the contents of Chateau-sur-Mer, lot 846, and identified as Tiffany and Co. and further described as an "American Silver Cup on a square base, applied on both sides with cats; the cup is engraved and supported by a horseshoe.

Provenance: The Wetmore estate from Chateau-sur-Mer (Newport, Rhode Island) and reacquired by a descendant at the September ,1969 Park-Bernet New York auction of the contents of Chateau-sur-Mer. 7 3/4 x 6 x 5". 23.4 ozt.
