An erotic ceramic sculpture made by the Mexico-born artist Rubén Parga (Juan José Guerrero Ibarra). In his later years, Parga lost his vision, becoming blind, transitioning from painting to ceramics and sculpture as his primary medium. He would join a gay artists group in his home of Los Angeles, producing accomplished ceramic works including masks and phallic sculptures. Towards the end of his life, Parga would be driven from L.A. by the anti-immigration policies of the first Trump administration, separated from his husband. He would pass away in 2021 from complications due to COVID-19, leaving behind an extensive legacy of art and activism, inspiring all those who knew him.
