A Robertson Sanderson & Co "Celebrated Mountain Dew" tip tray.

A late 19th century chromolithographic Robertson Sanderson & Co "Celebrated Mountain Dew, We All Drink It - For It Is The Best" advertisement under a glass panel contained within a pressed brass tip tray.

The chromolithograph within depicts two Scots drinking after a successful hunt in the highlands, framed by boughs of thistle.

This tray was manufactured by metalworker C.E. Wilkins of Birmingham, Bartholomew Row for the distiller in the late 19th century. 

4 1/4 x 1/2".

 

Condition

Some minor spots of oxidization on the brass. Minor staining to the upper right of the paper under the glass. Advertisement has not been removed from the tray for inspection.
