Artist's description on a label verso : "Sampson naval base 1940 - Pimply, eighteen year old loafer getting a hundred bucks for doing virtually nothing but signing the groaning payroll. How the hell did we win that war? - Ham". Framed. 10 3/4 x 4 3/4" (sight), 19 x 12 3/4 x 3/4" (overall).
