"Edge of Night." 1988. Oil on prepared canvas. Signed, titled and dated. 48 x 36 inches. Literature: Kostabi: The Early Years, 1990, Masterworks, page 377. Provenance: Christies New York, October 4, 1989, Contemporary Painting; Private Collection, NYC. This painting was vandalized by another "artist" during a Kostabi exhibition. It was subsequently partially restored at Kostabi World, though the incised letters "WYZ" remain visible under raking light below the figure in the black field and a thin line appears across the figures shoulder
Please note the description when considering the condition and in addition there are a few
minor abrasions to the painted sides of the canvas and a few minor marks. Shows very well. Otherwise the painting remains in good condition with some minor abrassions not readily apparent. Nothing unfavorable to note.  Not examined out of the frame. Â
