A series of large-scale photographs featuring the premier danseur of the Bolshoi Ballet (and later Soviet defector), Alexander Godunov, taken by the American photographer and dancer Kenn Duncan. These particular photographs were taken for later publication in After Dark magazine in 1975.

Each: 13 7/8 x 11 in. (35.2 x 28 cm)

Notes:

Kenn Duncan is best known as one of the most prominent dance photographers of the twentieth century. He photographed a variety of dancers and entertainers such as Maxwell Caulfield, Rudolf Nureyev, Chita Rivera, Carrol Channing, and in this example, the ballet dancer Alexander Godunov, also known for his prominent roles in Peter Weir's Witness (1985) and John McTiernan's Die Hard (1988).
