Two (2) impressionistic watercolors. "Towers of London" and "Tower of Venice." Circa 1880's. 10 x 13 7/8 inches (largest.) Tower of London is annotated on the verso and dated 1890. Provenance: From the collection of J.A.S. Monks (American painter, 1850 - 1917) and to the present consignor, his great-grandson.
Condition
Colors remain vibrant. Some evidence of prior mounting to "Towers of London" but no matboard staining and colors are vibrant. "Tower of Venice" is mounted with mounting tape though it is unbacked and has not been examined out of the matboard. Colors are also vibrant. (Please note, this is not a full condition report.
