Gilded age painting of a young women sitting near a Chinese lacquer keepsake cabinet with dangling pearls and gazing at a watch. 1875. Oil on canvas. Signed and dated bottom left. 20 1/8 x 15 3/4 in.; 25 1/4 x 22 1/4 in. (overall). Reeves and Sons (London) makers mark on verso of canvas. Provenance: Rhode Island collection.
