Ten (10) rare books, including first editions:

"The Intermediate Sex (A Study of Some Transitional Types of Men and Women)." 1912, Kennerley, publisher. The Intermediate Sex was a radical publication for its time; it expressed the view that homosexuality was innate. Carpenter writes, "It is interesting in this connection to notice the extreme fervor almost romance, of the bond which often unites lovers of like sex over a long period of year, in an unfailing tenderness and of treatment and consideration towards each other..." Page 70.

"Iolalus (An Anthology of Friendship Edited by: Edward Carpenter)." 1902.

Carpenter quotes the Greek philosopher Plutarch in his prologue: "And as to the loves of Hercules, it is difficult to record them because of their number. But some think that Iolalus (the hero) was one of them..."

"Intermediate Types among Primitive Folks." 1919, George Allen publisher.

"Towards Democracy." 1883, John Heywood publisher. (Scarce first edition of the first part of this monumental prose poem).

"Towards Democracy (Complete Edition in Four Parts)."1905, Sonnenschein publisher.

"Towards Democracy." 1912, Kennerley publisher, with a portrait of the author.

"Prisons Police and Punishment." 1905, Fifield publisher.

"Sketches from Life." 1908, George Allen publisher, with a portrait of the author.

"A Visit to A Gnani." 1905, The Yogi Publication Society.

"Pagan and Christian Creeds..." 1920, George Allen publisher.

"Edward Carpenter by Edward Lewis." Second edition, 1915, hardcover with portrait and dustjacket.
