An early 20th century folk art U.S. Army miniature building.

Early 20th century. 

Paint on pierced, cut and soldered tin.

A folk or trench art turreted miniature building, possibly depicting a fort, occupied castle, or barracks.

Detailed in red, white, blue, and gold paint. The American Flag can be seen mounted atop a crenelated tower. "Army" painted above the doorways on either side. 

6 x 5 1/2 x 4".

 

Condition

In condition consistent with age. Some minor bends, some flaking of the paint on one side of the building on the floors of the crenelated "balconys." Some paint loss on the flag.
