An antique hand knotted Persian Malayer rug.

Geometric botanical patterns with reds and blues.

This rug was donated to the the Preservation Society of Newport County by Anne-Marie Guestier Goelet to be displayed in the entry hall at Hunter House in 1953. It may have come from the Goelets’ Newport estate, "Southside" as it can be seen in the photograph above there.
