A hard tooled leather-bound 19th-century brass-clasped photo album of a notable New England family. Including thirty (30) carte de visite photographs. Each photograph is identified and described as a member of the extended Whittimore-Low-Peck family. 6 x 5 x 1 1/2".
This photo album contains thirty (30) carte de visite photographs of members of the families Whittemore, Low, and Peck. Including three (3) carte de visite of Civil War Union Captain William Whittemore Low, commander of the gunboat Octorara from 1863 to 1865. Alongside twenty-seven (27) CdV of his immediate and extended family.

Provenance: property of a private Connecticut collection.

Condition

Binding and clasps intact, external wear commensurate with age and use.
