Framed. 32 1/2 x 19 1/2" (sight); 36 1/2 x 23 1/2" (overall).
Notes:
This rare Tibetan thangka depicts the Medicine Buddha seated in lotus posture, with a gallipot in his left hand. He is flanked on both sides by his seven brothers, and above him are a lineage of three Tibetan lama. At the lower register are ten Buddhist deities and their attendants, and at the bottom of the panel are the four Guardian Kings.
Condition
Some pigment loss throughout, light tearing at the textile near the 3/4 register.
