Custom re-binding executed at some point in the 20th century.
Gilt embossed leather binding with brass fleur-de-lis motif locking clasps and corner protectors, gilt page ends and raised spine bands.
Inscribed in ink on the front page : " Kittie Taylor, from Grandma Taylor, Dec. 25th, 1867" followed by an original poem written by Kittie Taylor's grandmother.
8 x 6 x 1 1/4".
Condition consistent with age and use. Some toning and light wear on the spine, otherwise nothing adverse to note. Some verdigris and oxidization on the top corner protectors.
